Hard disk is a very complex hardware piece ,combination of circuit board , platter ,media head assembler and spindle motor. But when things not work accordingly then hard disk failure occur. And it is very important to find out what the actual problem is before attempting hard drive recovery.

The Platters: Platters are actual disk which has magnetic coating in it. It is made of aluminum alloy and it is the actual part where data get stored.

The Head Actuators: All the heads available in the hard drive are attached to actuator. It is only the actuator which moves the head over the platter .

Logical failure: This type of problem comes into existence when file system has some issues. Like when hard drive is properly working but because of some reasons files are not accessible. It can be due to deletion of files accidentally or intentionally or because of virus attack.

Physical failure: This type of problem arises when hard drive does not spin properly ,unable to read and creates noise. Spinning disk available in the hard disk sometimes creates problem because of which hard disk does not able to spin properly. During this condition user will hear harsh noise instead of normal noise. A user should listen hard disk properly to recognize the problem .Any abnormal noise means that there is some problem in hard disk and it requires hard disk recovery service to get back in normal working state.
