Clicking sound from the hard drive – How to Get Rid of it?

Sometimes, while transferring files, pictures from some external device to your laptop/desktop hard drive, the Blue Screen Of Death appears from nowhere. May be sometimes, the system becomes unresponsive in the middle of watching a movie from the hard disk or even surfing Internet. After such an incident, when you try to boot the system it flashes some error messages, following which the hard drive of the system becomes completely inaccessible. You may hear some kind of continuous clicking sound from the hard drive and that signals a possible damage to the head of the hard drive. Such problems can handled by hard disk recovery experts.

The unusual clicking sound from the drive when powered on, is a clear indication towards the failure of the hard disk drive. It may have been caused due to the displacement of the actuator arm or any damage to the head of the hard disk.
